The Japanese oni are creatures similar
to Western demons or ogres folklore.
They are popular characters in art,
literature and Japanese theater.
In this piece the canvas becomes a kind of skin
from oni, magic and glitter, which is shown by way of a tattoo, using lines,
shapes and colors from some traditional Japanese monsters.
One Ultraman known
by many as a sardine superhero also appears.
