The title of this acrylic on canvas in 40 centimeters is: “Deconstructed
bath in PINK ACID LAKE”, and it´s one of
a kind… - April 2020.
This is the second painting of DHU STORIES
(or what is the same, Dhani –Barragan- Universe Stories). A universe that will
deal with the exploitation of pop characters. Where some of them will be meat
and other stuffed animals...
The first painting of this Series from also april 2020 has been"The
BUTCHER & The Cat Steaks " that
inaugurated the Collection.
DHU STORIES is made up of characters that have been in
Dhani's imagination for many years. But with many others with whom he has been
working more closely over time. But now this universe is going to be completed
more… because Dhani is going to spend time creating new ones, and developing
others that he already had in mind and that have sometimes appeared over time
in his paintings.
For DHU STORIES Dhani Barragan is also using a notebook
where he collects all the sketches and ideas... and many of them will form part
of an artistic book by DHANI that also will be release as an artwork in some
time…

Talking about DHU STORIES ... it is
inhabited by good and bad Gods, who are giant beings who play at their whim
with the rest of the inhabitants of this universe; and universo where you will
find different kinds of animals, spiritual creatures, pop characters, and other
types of inhabitants ... And where also will be different territories, spaces,
vehicles, plants, food ...
And all these inhabitants of this particular DHU will wear
to the Pop Characters, very much appreciated by all ...Pop Characters who are
nothing but, many times, old, used, discolored old toys, with the foam that
comes out of the seams… Pop Characters that will be used in this DHU as
resources, for clothing, for food ... And that can be real, or stuffed
(deconstructed pop)

What is represented here we can say that it is "a
detail", and what is told comes to be the effect that the lake of pink
acid (PINK ACID LAKE) does in the deconstructed characters, which will be one
of the recurring scenarios within of the global history of DHU STORIES
